Foothills Eat Local Challenge

To celebrate the abundance of our local harvest, we’re encouraging people to eat at or from different farms or businesses that feature local foods during the months of August and September.

To participate, grab a submission form from the information booth at our Friday night Farmers' Market and follow the steps below!

How it Works:

Step 1: Eat Local

Eat at or from local farms or businesses that use local goods! This could mean visiting a local farmers’ market, stopping at a pick-your-own farm, shopping at a community grocer or food co-op, or grabbing a bite from a restaurant that uses locally-sourced ingredients.

Step 2: Take Note

Write down the names and locations of the local farms and businesses you supported, along with your name and contact information on the submission form

Step 3: Win Prizes

Mail the form to the Alan Day Community Garden and you'll be entered into a raffle to win a prize from our local partners for supporting our food system here in the Foothills. The first prize is a $250 gift card to Fare Share Food Co-op and the second prize is a $100 gift certificate to Fairwinds Farm.
