CSA Garden Shares

Our CSA Garden Share program provides access to nutritious, local food at a deep discount from typical retail prices, and sales directly support paid jobs for our youth leaders.

While sharing in the risk of any growing season (mainly weather related), the purchaser of a Garden Share can feel confident that they will receive the full value of their investment by the end of the season. We will strive to offer a steady variety of produce beginning with spring greens through the fall harvest.

We work together with other local growers who contribute to the CSA program. Liberation Farms, part of the Somali Bantu Community Association, is our main partner. As a CSA customer you might receive some items that are traditional to other cultures.

Items we typically offer include salad greens, summer and winter squash, carrots, cabbage, beets, tomatoes, kale, radishes, spinach, garlic, swiss chard, beet greens, basil, cilantro, thyme, peas, beans, cucumbers, zucchini, peppers, flowers, berries, and fruit.

The 2021 program runs from June 25th through September 10th. Participants can pick up their shares at the ADCG, 26 Whitman Street in Norway, on Fridays from 5-7pm. We will also host a Community Farmers' Market during pickup times, featuring items from other local farmers and craftspeople.

A Garden Share costs $200, is suitable for a family of 2-3 people, and consists of 12 harvest shares, provided weekly. Please call/text us at 207-346-0708 or email us at alandaycommunitygarden@gmail.com for more info or to sign up.

We have 4 payment options:

Pay in Full: The full amount or at least a minimum deposit of $50 is due by May 31st to reserve your share, and any remainder is due on the first pickup.

Pay-Per-Share: Participate in the full program, but pay on a weekly basis. A refundable deposit of $25 is due by May 31st, to reserve your share. The deposit will be returned at the end of the program.

The deposit will be returned at the end of the program.
