Community Market

The Community Market will be held on Friday evenings from 5-8pm, July 10th to August 28th (during our regular Garden Share pickup times) and will feature live music, ready-to-eat foods, a pizza oven, workshops and cooking demos, vegetables for sale, and SNAP EBT. 

Alan Day Community Garden welcomes new farmers, food processors, and crafters to join the Market.

The Community Market is supported by the Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare Foundation (HPHF) to grow our volunteer program and increase the amount of local food grown, gleaned, and distributed in the community; All food and produce offered by the ADCG is "by donation" as part of our ongoing efforts to create affordable, local food access. The goal and vision of the HPHF Healthy Food Fund Grant is that “by mobilizing the energy of local and corporate volunteers to grow, glean and distribute healthy produce for low-income families across our region, we want to create a movement of “neighbors feeding neighbors” and expand the number of citizens advocating for fresh, local, healthy food equity.

Farmers that are unable to commit to the whole market season are invited to participate in whatever ways they can, whether that means donating or selling excess produce to the ADCG, or offering a workshop or demo. All participating farmers will be highlighted and promoted via the ADCG website and social media, newsletter, and press about the local food access program.
